REAL NUMBERS 🔢 


1. A number is prime if it has only two factors, 1 and itself.


2. Every composite number can be expressed as a product of prime factors.


3. H C F of two numbers = Product of the smaller power of each common factor in the numbers.


H.C.F. of (30, 45) = 3 x 5 = 15. [30 = 2 x 3 x 5 ;45 = 32 x 5]


4. L C M of two numbers = Product of the greatest power of each prime factor involved in the numbers.


LCM of (30, 45) = 2 x 32 x 5 = 90


5. HCF (a, b) xLCM(a,b) = axb


6. HCF (a, b, c) x LCM (a, b, c) ≠ axbx c
